Description
Ink illustration of a giraffe.
Drawn using one of my own photographs as reference, I used mostly Sakura pigma micron marker pens and a brush pen for the darkest areas.
The giraffe (Giraffa) is a tall African mammal, and the tallest living animal in the world, living in scattered regions across Africa. They are also one of the most popular animals and are distinguished by their extremely long necks and legs. They have horn like shapes protruding from the head, large ears, a white or cream body with dark orange brown or near black blotches, spots or patches covering most of the body, each individual has distinctive and unique coat patterns. Giraffe are listed as vulnerable to extinction, but several subspecies are very endangered with only a few hundred remaining in the wild. Giraffe usually live in savannah and woodland areas, feeding on leaves, fruits and flowers.
