One of the most popular sightseeing areas in Kyoto, Japan, Arashiyama lies along the base of the Arashiyama mountains, seen in the background here, the mountains are covered in trees, many of which are Japanese maple or momiji, pine, or cherry. I took this photograph whilst crossing the famous Togetsu-kyo Bridge, the wooden bridge spans the Katsura River and the scenery viewed from this bridge is spectacular.
