Description
Ink illustration of an Amur tiger cub.
Drawn using one of my own photographs as reference, I used mostly Sakura pigma micron marker pens and an Akashiya Sai ink brush pen for the darkest areas.
One of the largest cat species in the world, the Amur tiger, or Siberian tiger is found in the forests of Russia, Northeast China and potentially Korea. Their fur is a lighter orange than other tiger sub-species and is also much thicker and longer due to living in a colder environment.
The tiger is an apex predator recognisable by its reddish orange fur and black stripes and a long tail. All tiger species are listed as endangered.
