Ink illustration of a rusty spotted cat.
Drawn using one of my own photographs as reference, I used mostly Sakura pigma micron marker pens and a brush pen for the darkest areas.
Found only in India and Sri Lanka, the rusty spotted cat is one of the world’s smallest wild cat species. Their fur is mostly a grey or light tan with a white underbelly and large dark rusty spots. They have distinctive streak markings on their faces running down their cheeks and foreheads. They live mostly in dry deciduous forests and grassland
