Description
Ink illustration of a baby rock hyrax.
Drawn using one of my own photographs as reference, I used mostly Sakura pigma micron marker pens and a brush pen for the darkest areas.
The rock hyrax, or cape hyrax, rock rabbit or dassie is a medium sized mammal found in Africa and the Middle East. These animals have sandy brown fur with small ears and tails and short legs. They live in large groups and forage as a group, feeding mostly on plants.
Although they are very rodent like in appearance this tiny cute species boasts the elephant as it’s closest relative!
