Black and white pen and ink animal illustration of a blue poison dart frog.
The blue poison dart frog (Dendrobates tinctorius "azureus") is a striking species of dart frog in the Dendrobatidae family. These frogs are found in southern Suriname in South America and have bright azure blue bodies which are patterned with black spots. Each frog has unique spotted markings.
I created this drawing by hand using ink in a stippling, or dot work technique.
