Description
Colourful ink and marker illustration portrait of a young Sulawesi crested macaque, a critically endangered species of monkey.
Hand-drawn using Pigma Micron marker pens and coloured using alcohol markers, I used one of my own photographs as a reference image for this drawing.
The Celebes crested macaque, or black ape is found in only in a few small areas on the island of Sulawesi. These primates have a hairless face and black fur on the rest of their bodies
