Description
Black and white pen and ink animal illustration of an axolotl.
Drawn using one of my own photographs as reference, I created this drawing using pigma micron pens using stippling, or dot work.
Axolotl are a critically endangered species of salamander which are also hugely popular as pets. These unusual amphibians are unique due to their external gills. Wild axolotl are generally brown or grey but in captivity many other colour variations have been created through selective breeding.
